The Taiko Drumming Troupe, Samurai Drum IKKI
Ikki Hino, son of Japanese famous martial artist, has established the Taiko Drumming troupe, “Samurai Drum IKKI” in 2002. Their Symbol of their spirits is straight wooden sticks called BACHI. It is same as that of Samurai is KATANA sword.
Very talented drummers have created emotional beats through universal and very rigorous training for many years. “Challenge your limits" is their philosophy.
In these years, their principal area of activity is not only in Japan, but also other countries. They have been invited by many countries such as England, Ukraine, Argentine, Taiwan and Philippine to have concerts and workshops for the past several years.
For this time, ambitious young percussionists come back to Edinburgh Fringe Festival for three consecutive years with world premiere stage titled, "Real Japanese Drum Beat!”
